Cycle Arizona 66 — Rider Code of Conduct

Cycle AZ 66 is a shared road and a shared experience. Every rider agrees to the following to keep the ride safe, welcoming, and worthy of Route 66’s centennial.
Safety First
Wear a helmet at all times while riding.
Obey all traffic laws, signals, and directions from course marshals, law enforcement, and event staff.
Ride single file when directed, especially on narrow shoulders between Kingman and Valentine.
Use hand signals for turns and stops, and call out hazards to riders around you.
Respect the Course
Stay within marked route boundaries and designated lanes.
Be aware of areas where the course isn’t fully closed to allow vehicular traffic to flow when safe. 
Pack out what you pack in — no littering along Historic Route 66.
Respect rest stop volunteers and follow their instructions.
Ride With Belonging in Mind
Cycle AZ 66 welcomes every ability level. Be patient and encouraging with riders of different paces.
No harassment, discrimination, or disrespectful conduct toward other riders, volunteers, staff, or the Kingman community, on any basis.
Accountability
Riders who endanger themselves or others may be pulled from the course at the discretion of event staff.
Alcohol or impairing substances are not permitted before or during the ride.
Riders are responsible for their own equipment and readiness for a 62-mile out-and-back route.
By registering for Cycle AZ 66, riders agree to follow this code and support the spirit of the event — activate, educate, celebrate.
